After graduating from Morioka Nursing Institute, Miyuki Tamura commenced work at a general hospital. 12 years ago she transferred to work at Kaneta Hospital where she has been able to continue working and be a mum. Miyuki is head of the internal medicine nursing division.
What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
Miyuki’s hope is that we can create an environment whereby both men and women are fully engaged in parenting.
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
Find and create your own path.
