What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
Kazuko hopes things will shift in Japan so as to allow women to keep their surname when they marry and, as such, if they want, maintain dual surnames. She hopes we reach the stage where women don’t hesitate about wanting to retain their own name.
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
Kazuko’s advice to the next generation is to try everything You can and to keep on trying, If you keep on trying and never give up, you will get there.
