Naoko Habe went to Australia to study English after finishing high school in Osaka. She completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Australian National University and has worked for Thomson Reuters for the last 16 years. She has a 5 year old boy named Alex.
What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
Thomson Reuters has been generous enough to let me take two years maternity leave. After which time I was given the option to work at home when need be which enabled me to balance work and family. I wish this could be the same in Japan.
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
Do what you want to do and enjoy the life!
