Yuriko Takatori is from Yokohama, Kanagawa. This is her fifth year living in Zurich. Earlier this year, Yuriko was involved in the launch of a select shop of mens clothing, Trunk, where she is responsible for sales.
What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
Firstly, we need to increase the sheer number of opportunities available for women - that will help to change the mindset. We would improve life for all with even one more person being action-focussed as to what they could do to improve society.
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
Once you have made a decision, it’s important to move and take action. The time taken to worry or be concerned about your decisions should be used to progress your ideas.

日本の政府や企業に期待する、女性が活躍なるための支援はどのようなものがあるでしょうか？
日本の女性が今以上に活躍の場を増やすには私たち女性のマインドを変えることがまず先。一緒に社会を良くして行くために自分なら何ができるかを考え行動に起こせる人が1人でも多く増えて欲しいです。
次世代の若い女性たちへ何かアドバイスはありますか？
思い立ったら動いてみること。悩んだり不安に思って考える時間があれば、少しでも一歩前に出てみることをオススメしたいです。
