What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
Improving access to childcare will allow new mums to return to work when they are ready, and will allow them to focus on being new mums and not worry about how and when they go back to work!
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
It’s important for mums who do want to go back to work to somehow remain connected to the workplace (part-time etc) while still raising your family. Get as many qualifications as you can and build your skill base. It will stand you in good stead!
