What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
Provide champions to promote women within organisations (beyond just mentoring) and provide appropriate parental leave policies for both genders. There is so much female leadership potential in Japan.
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
Seek out a “board of advisors” who can offer guidance in specific areas of your life, particularly if you do not have one single role model who has trodden the same career path as you. Let go of perfection in the various spheres of your life. 90% effort is often enough.
