What do you think Japanese companies and/or government needs to do to help women in Japan?
There is no necessity for special assistance to be provided to allow women to be more active, Moreover, companies should do away with differentiation on the basis of gender. Companies could help by providing support to teams whose colleagues take maternity/paternity leave.
What advice do you have for the next generation of women in Japan?
If we could provide gender balanced education without imposing on girls to be girls, we could create an equal society. Over and above being women, we are humans. I hope, irrespective of our gender, we can follow our dreams at school and in society, and realise our potential.
